Our offer for child and adolescent psychotherapists in training
Dear psychotherapists in training, we are pleased that you are interested in our “BESTFORCAN” project. The focus of this project is on the dissemination and implementation of empirically supported treatments in the psychotherapeutic care of children and adolescents who have mental disorders as a result of experiences of abuse and mistreatment.
We deal with the implementation of trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (Tf-CBT) in postgraduate psychotherapy training. For this purpose, 58 child and adolescent psychotherapists are being recruited. They receive training in Tf-CBT according to Cohen, Mannarino and Deblinger and then carry out their own treatment cases. They will later be able to apply the interventions learned in their training in their everyday work – be it in their own practice or in psychotherapeutic health facilities (e.g. child and adolescent psychiatry). In this way, the transfer into clinical practice is to be guaranteed.
